How to Care for Your SmileTRU Positioners

Always place the tooth positioners in the provided retainer box when not in use.
Keep the retainer box out of the reach of children and away from the family dog.
The tooth positioners should not be exposed to extreme heat.
Clean the positioners with denture cleaner. Do not use chemicals or toothpaste, as these can damage them.
Remove the positioners when eating and drinking (except water).
Some patients experience an excess of saliva when starting treatment.
One or more teeth may become temporarily sensitive when placing new positioners.
The positioners may have a mild effect on speech — talking with them in place speeds the adaptation process.
Maintain proper oral hygiene throughout treatment; failure to do so can cause cavities and periodontal disease.
